Deployment/Installs, Moves,
Adds, and Changes
Companies that purchase new hardware are often faced with the daunting
challenge of the installation process. Halifax offers technical expertise
to assist the customer's IT staff with the install on a nationwide
basis. These services can include any of the following tasks; un-boxing
the units, removal of old systems, installation of the new hardware,
standard software image loads, custom configurations and network connectivity,
and the removal of all packaging materials.
Relocation
Services
An additional value-added service Halifax offers our customers is
relocation services. When an office or building relocates, Halifax
offers our technical expertise in performing the computer hardware
relocation. We provide a level of comfort to the customer that they
cannot receive from a typical moving company trained to move office
equipment and furniture. By providing staff familiar with technology
equipment, extra care is taken to ensure their hardware arrives safely
at the new destination.
Services include dismantling the equipment at the old site, transportation
to the new site and reassembly at the new location. Reassembly includes
connecting the equipment to the network. Additional services may include
installing new network printers, specialized configuration, and adapting
the hardware to the new physical environment.
Reconfiguration
Services
Many customers need assistance in rolling out new or updated software
or operating systems. Halifax provides the technical expertise to
assist the roll out process. This can include anything from installing
a new software application to completely erasing and installing a
new image on the hard drive with all the various custom configurations
that may be needed. Halifax provides reconfiguration services at the
request of our clients. Halifax reconfiguration services include:

device setups.
