Halifax Green Business Certification

In August of 2009, the Institute for Green Business Certification, Inc. (IGBC) announced that Halifax Corporation has earned the elite certification as a “green business.”

In order to qualify for this unique accreditation, Halifax underwent a comprehensive Green Audit that has become a model for what it means to be a green business. Halifax was certified after a detailed on-site inspection of its major facilities and processes in Mechanicsburg and Lewisberry, PA.  Specifically, the IGBC Audit evaluated the green initiatives of Halifax in 10 major categories:
